Shouldn't "sox" allow you to do that? (Assuming the music file has no  
legal restrictions to be used as MOH)

I seem to remember sox doesn't allow you to create mp3's anymore  
because of a licensing issue.

I am not sure where this kind of feature would go in the gui, but I  
will think about it.
