I'm suspecting your unionfs partition may be a little funky.
Entirely possible, since the genunion in 0.5 doesn't generate or even
ask to set up the keydisk files as the ones in 0.6 trunk do, I used a
genunion from a 0.6 trunk to set things up.
Since the astlinux.org site promises a 0.5 version REAL SOON NOW, I do
hope one will be forthcoming, even if it is the only one ever distributed.
There have been so many 1.4 issues with various parts, that many are
still not willing to migrate to it.
In the interim, I will make do.
