Hey everyone (and this means the very newest people on this list too), We need your assistance as we release the brand spanking new 0.6.0 releases. The documentation on the Astlinux website http://www.astlinux.org has been updated to reflect some of the more recent changes. It's important that we get help reviewing these steps, ensuring that what's on there actually works as advertised.
As developers, sometimes there are steps we may overlook because we're so familiar with the process. So please go to: http://www.astlinux.org and start here. http://www.astlinux.org/node/36 That page references two other pages so far. Documentation needs to be added to reflect the change to Lonnie's 'altweb' interface which we've adopted as the default web interface. As you read this, Kristian is working hard (well his build machine is anyway) at building new images from the recently created 0.6.0 tag. The voip-info wiki page should also be updated to direct people to this documentation as those pages are currently out of date. Can someone from the community take care of this? This is an exciting time. Countless hours of development have been invested in making 0.6.0 a solid release. And yes, I have been making some updates to the 0.5 branch. I don't know how much more effort will be placed on maintaining that branch. Digium has been only doing security fixes to Asterisk 1.2. I will be creating unofficial images from the 0.5 branch and posting them on my website. We strongly recommend moving to the 0.6.0 official release when that becomes available in the next few days. The only reason to use 0.5 is to remain with Asterisk 1.2.
