Good...  but no more "mount -o rw,remount /" in 0.6 (and Darrick's  
images). Erase that from your brain. :-)

Yes, it is no longer required.  Regarding the web interface prefs, if / 
mnt/kd/webgui-prefs.txt exists, the new web interface will use that  
file, otherwise a prefs.txt file in the base of the web directory will  
be used.

"passwd" will use unionfs to save the shadow files in /oldroot/mnt/ 
asturw/etc/ the overlay layer to the read-only system image at /etc/ .
