Mart, The past year has been what I would call 'non-standard' regarding releases for Astlinux. This will be changing. 0.6.1 will be the first official release in a long time (far too long). Future releases will be made shortly after future Asterisk releases and/or security issues to major components of Astlinux. At the time of the releases, there will be release notes (official releases) and upgrade instructions.
Hopefully that makes sense. I'm waiting for Kristian to approve one last change, then create the tag for 0.6.1. After the tag is created, I'll be building image files (both the astlinux-0.6.1-ARCH.run files and a compact flash image that can be directly transferred to a CF with dd or physdiskwrite. These files will then be available on the official source forge website.
