I have yet to use Inadyn, so all I have are more questions.
Using ddclient on a larger box, every 300 seconds ( changeable in a conf file ) it compares the IP address with the one in cache, and if it matches, goes back to sleep.
Does not Inadyn work the same way, more or less?
If it only runs once on bootup, it isn't of much use, IMO.

Shortly I will need to help someone remotely get Inadyn set up and working, so this issue is timely for me at least.
Anyone else care to share their experiences?

Ok I have Inadyn running to keep my dyndns custom address up to dayte which
it does very well.. EXCEPT if I reboot the cable modem and don't reboot the
astlinux machine... what happens is I end up with a new IP (sometimes, not
always) and consequently InaDyn never sees the change unless I reboot
astlinux, so this disrupts any inbound traffic to my FQDN from the
outside... is there a way to make InaDyn run anytime the Astlinux Machine
has changed IP's?
