Hello all

As part of my test set-up, I am trying to use 0.6.1 on a desktop. I'm not
having a lot of joy getting it to install to the HD. If I run astinstall, I get
an unbootable system, regardless of whether the bootable flag of the partition
is set or not via fdisk. If I run from the CD, with the KD on the HD, I have to
force it to use the HD KD at each reboot (typing hdakd at the boot menu) - is
the boot menu on the KD, which I can therefore edit and change the defaults?
Otherwise it defaults to trying to use a UDB KD. The grub menu on the HD KD
seems not to match what I am seeing on screen - does AstLinux use runnix
instead?

Apologies for my evident ignorance and inexperience of all this.

Thanks

Tom
