Yes, it can operate in either.

I thought I'd be best off familiarizing myself with this card in a
traditional Asterisk set-up first, rather than in Astlinux. I did a
minimum Debian install from scratch, installed the required dev
packages, and then tried to get the Diva card working. This took some
time, with a lot of errors on the way. I had no joy in getting any
driver downloaded directly from Melware to work. However, the
monolithic Diva Server System Release downloaded directly from
Dialogic works:

The main problems this poses for compiling it into Astlinux, I guess, are:

1. The shell script installs a large amountof other bits and pieces
(softSS7, softIP, and SIPcontrol)

2. I am unclear as to the licence of this driver - it is possibly
(probably?) not redistributable

I shall try to pursue this, installing the Astlinux dev environment,
with a view to compiling a version of Astlinux with the driver in
place. Whether this will be of any use to others, because of the
licensing, I am not sure, but it will be useful to me.
