Pete,

Depends on your target installation.  I've used both the Soekris and VIA
systems in production where a PCI card may be needed.  I have a few ALIX
boards installed in SIP only environments.

The Soekris boards are nice because they are low power and have 4 network
ports.  The ALIX are very similar but lack the PCI slot.

I haven't used any C7's in production so I cannot comment on the stability.
 I have several C3's that have been in use for a few years so far.
