Sorry, I had mis-posted this under another topic.

/From what I've read on the list, it seems to me that arno doesn't yet 
have all the functionality of astfw. If that's true, it doesn't make 
sense to me to remove astfw and make it difficult for those in the list 
who needs that functionality.
If all the functionality is already there, my point is moot. I don't see 
a reason why (as long as the AstLinux user base is properly educated on 
how to configure the astfw equivalent in arno) arno couldn't be removed. 
You would just need to make sure that everyone has proper warning that 
an upgrade might not be seamless and might  require someone on site. /
