I tried installing Astlinux 0.6.5 on an IBM Netvista 8364 thin client.

I copied the image to a Lexar 256MB compact flash disk using dd:

dd -if=astlinux-0.6.5-geni586.img -of=/dev/sdc

I get the following error:

Copying kernel and initrd to ramdisk...
Unmounting image...
Trying kexec...
Invalid memory segment 0x3f96000 - 0x3ffffff
/bin/sh: can't access tty: job control turned off
/mnt/base/os $

I tried exchanging memory modules - 2x128mb, 1x128mb, 1x64mb - to no avail.

Anyone please help.

Mark
