Hi list I've just refreshed my Desktop hardware/OS and decided to install the 64-bit version of Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope), I'm having a problem building tags/0.6.6 (see below), I've scaned the mail list and a couple of other forums, but unfortunately am unable to resolve
I read in one forum that you need to add -m32 as an option to gcc , I've tried adding this option in Buildroot Configuration: Toolchain Options-->Additional gcc options, but unfortionately I get the same result Questions 1. Can I build AstLinux using a 64-bit development environment? 2. If so, Is there any other configuration changes and/or development libraries that I need to install. I'm not a developer but know enough to be dangerous so any help would be greatly appreciated. /usr/bin/ld: i386 architecture of input file `random.o' is incompatible with i386:x86-64 output /usr/bin/ld: i386 architecture of input file `libstats.o' is incompatible with i386:x86-64 output collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[3]: *** [makemutable] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/guyn/astlinux/tags/0.6.6/build_i586/nistnet-3.0a/math' make[2]: *** [pareto.h] Error 2 make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/guyn/astlinux/tags/0.6.6/build_i586/nistnet-3.0a/math' make[1]: *** [sub_dirs] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/guyn/astlinux/tags/0.6.6/build_i586/nistnet-3.0a' make: *** [/home/guyn/astlinux/tags/0.6.6/build_i586/nistnet-3.0a/cli/cnistnet] Error 2 regards Guy ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Enter the BlackBerry Developer Challenge This is your chance to win up to $100,000 in prizes!
