Tom, Thanks for working through these issues. One of the things we hope to correct (over time) is the documentation. What you see in 3661 is very likely (since I haven't heard any issues with the build itself) going to turn into 0.7.0. (So you would have run into these same issues when upgrading from 0.6.x to 0.7.0 anyway).
