"/etc/localtime" is a symlink to "/tmp/etc/localtime" which is also a symlink to "/usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Berlin" in my case. "/etc/TZ" does not exist (but I still have an /mnt/kd/TZ which may be left over from an old installation).
