I'm getting this out a little late, but I wanted to thank both Dan Ryson
and Mark Phillips who both helped out at Astricon. It was great to meet
both of them. I know Mark has been around since early in the project.
Dan has only recently started posting on the mailing list, but has been
using AstLinux for a while too. They kept me from having to drag a huge
pile of hardware through the airports and allowed me to take a break
from the booth for a while.

The booth was successful. We handed out about 70 CD's with the newly
compiled Asterisk 1.8.0. We had a Polycom 550 showing the
'directory/speeddial' feature that can be integrated with AstLinux using
the XML viewer on the phone. (We have support for Polycom and Aastra
phones currently). I'll try to get a wiki entry added explaining how to
set this up on both phones.

There were several good questions during my session. The presentation
will eventually be available online. I'd probably change a few things
and had an issue with the projector not liking my laptop so some of the
live demo stuff was skipped.

So thanks again. It was alot easier to do with the additional help.

Thanks,

Darrick
