Hi,

I would also like to see the possibility to write CDR records to an 
external MySQL database in Astlinux in the future.

I looked into OpenWRT: 
https://dev.openwrt.org/browser/packages/libs/mysql/Makefile

We would only need the client-part of MySQL.
The other dependencies should work. Readline compiles for me.
So for Asterisk 1.4 we would only need "cdr_addon_mysql.c" + the conf-file.
