Hi Felix,

Yes, you can choose the Asterisk version via the web interface.

The default is currently Asterisk 1.4, with this repository preference:
--
Prefs Tab -> System & Staff Tab Options:
Repository URL:  http://mirror.astlinux.org/firmware
--

To use Asterisk 1.8, use this repository preference:
--
Prefs Tab -> System & Staff Tab Options:
Repository URL:  http://mirror.astlinux.org/ast18-firmware
--

Then upgrade as normal via the System Tab, note the "Repository URL" is 
displayed for your reference.

Note: If you have already upgraded to 0.7.6 (with asterisk 1.4) you will need 
to "Revert to Previous" (and reboot if your system has less than 512MB RAM) 
before you select "Upgrade with New".  This is simply because both images 
(asterisk 1.4 and 1.8) are denoted as astlinux-0.7.6, in different repositories.
