Graham,

In the web interface, Edit Tab, any /mnt/kd/*.conf file is editable.

In that case, any edits to /mnt/kd/rc.conf will be ignored, personally I remove 
the /mnt/kd/rc.conf file on all my systems since I use the web interface.
