hey all, quick bug report / FYI. my PPPoE provider gave me a password with random characters, including two dollar signs.
if you put a PPPoE password with dollar signs into the web interface, by the time it reaches /etc/pap-secrets and /etc/chap-secrets, the password is cut off at the first dollar sign. i guess it has to do with shell variable expansion, and would guess that there are other bugs like this in the astlinux config generation scripts - might need a different approach in general to avoid all cases. -- Izaak Branderhorst IT coordinator, CKUT 90.3FM http://www.ckut.ca 3647 University st., Mtl QC H3A 2B3 514.448.4041 x8881 [email protected] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WhatsUp Gold - Download Free Network Management Software The most intuitive, comprehensive, and cost-effective network management toolset available today.
