I added this line to my /etc/fstab:/
/dev/sda1 /mnt/usb vfat defaults 0 0/
It works and mounts my external USB drive on boot. I use it as a NAS
fileserver. Not sure if editing fstab is completely "kosher" though, but
I don't see the harm in it.
