Hi I can't install AstLinux to a hard drive using ESXi 5: "Format of drive /dev/sda failed, use fdisk manually."
I've installed AstLinux in the following way: 1) downloaded the latest i586 version from hxxp://mirror.astlinux.org/downloads/img/geni586/astlinux-1.0.3-asterisk-1.8.11.1.img.gz 2) extracted the image 3) converted the image to a vmdk (VBoxManage convertfromraw -format vmdk astlinux-1.0.3.img astlinux.vmdk) 4) uploaded the vmdk to Esxi host datastore 5) created a new vm with 2 disks, 1 with the vmdk as "existing disk" and the other as a thick provisioned 2GB drive (hxxp://i46.tinypic.com/34ytuol.png) This screenshot shows the disks as seen in AstLinux: hxxp://i46.tinypic.com/242ak4z.png Creating a partition table on /dev/sdb didn't help, the dropdown menu at AstLinux installation setup doesn't show the other disk. Any help is greatly appreciated.
