I think by default the eth0 interface is set up as a DHCP client, so it
wants to obtain a IP from server. The eth1 interface will likely be
assigned a 192.168.x.x. So make sure that you are connecting to the cable
to the right port, and that you are pinging the right IP. Typing
"ifconfig" at the astlinux command prompt will tell you what is assigned to
each interface.
