Thanks I will gather more information and return
This was 0.7, Runnix loaded and worked, but somewhere in the multi stage
process of loading AstLinux it either failed or just stopped.

Hi John,
I assume this is AstLinux 1.0.4 or at least 1.0.x ...
No use trying any other images, if geni586 fails to boot, any other board type
will fail to boot, as we now use a unified kernel. It probably is failing in
the RUNNIX bootloader.
I recall working with Brian Barr last December with his HP T5710, and got it
working with setting CONFIG_PATA_ALI=y in the AstLinux and RUNNIX kernels.
Some context where the boot failed would be very helpful, bit my guess is the IDE
controller. If you can boot your box with some sort of Linux, do a "lspci
-vvv" and forward any info about the IDE interface.

I have a couple of HP Thin Clients (5540) that use the VIA Eden CPU ( 1Gig )
and the geni586 image fails to complete the boot process, so I want to try a
VIA image.
Does anyone know if either the C3 or C7 VIA image resembles the Eden?
I have done some Google searches, but have come up empty
