One question the developers here had (about adding Asterisk Calendar support) is how useful and how would it interface with Asterisk. Your link explains that pretty well. The bottom line is how generally useful would this feature be for the increased image size required by the "neon" and "libical" libraries. For some users, the new XMPP server opens a lot of new possibilities, but pity Asterisk 1.8's jabber has segfault issues, Asterisk 11 has much improved XMPP support. Others that would use Asterisk Calendar support in AstLinux, please comment.
