Rodney,

We definitely support your IDE chipset:
--
00:07.1 IDE interface: Intel Corporation 82371AB/EB/MB PIIX4 IDE (rev 01)
(prog-if 80 [Master])
        Kernel driver in use: PIIX_IDE
--
In AstLinux 1.x the kernel driver is "ata_piix" with CONFIG_ATA_PIIX=y for both
RUNNIX and AstLinux

Ref: http://cateee.net/lkddb/web-lkddb/ATA_PIIX.html

I've ran out of ideas, unless it is some BIOS issue with that driver.

Maybe someone else has an idea.

Lonnie

Symantec Endpoint Protection 12 positioned as A LEADER in The Forrester
Wave(TM): Endpoint Security, Q1 2013 and "remains a good choice" in the
endpoint security space. For insight on selecting the right partner to
tackle endpoint security challenges, access the full report.
