Hi David, for Asterisk 13 several new software package will be required, which are currently not included in AstLinux/Buildroot. So you cannot expect to just change the Asterisk version, and hope that it will work with Asterisk 13 :-). There are otherwise no Asterisk related optimizations in AstLinux. We are using the latest official released versions of the Asterisk 1.8 and 11 branch (in our svn).
