Hi, There is a 'bc' command we have provided in AstLinux since the beginning, mostly because a package required it, but we no longer include that package (misdn).
'bc' manual http://www.gnu.org/software/bc/manual/html_mono/bc.html While the 'bc' command is small, the official version has not been updated for 15 years and has issues. There are attempts for an 'alpha' version, which is not yet perfect. Buildroot upstream has tried to fix the 'alpha' version (1.06.95). So the question is: Does anyone use the 'bc' command in their custom scripts ? And if yes, please share the reason you use 'bc' . Personally, I'd prefer to stop building 'bc' given its unsupported state.
