Hi Lonnie and as always thanks for such prompt and precise response.  Support
in this community absolutely ROCKs and I am very grateful.
I will follow the upgrade steps plus the Asterisk 12 -> 13 part :-)  Thanks for
being so detailed in the steps.
CheersIonel

 Hi Ionel,

First, the Asterisk version is part of the Repository URL in the Prefs Tab...

Prefs Tab...
System & Staff Tab Options:
...
Repository URL: |____________|

For Asterisk 1.8 use:
http://mirror.astlinux.org/ast18-firmware-1.x

For Asterisk 11 use:
http://mirror.astlinux.org/ast11-firmware-1.x

For Asterisk 13 use:
http://mirror.astlinux.org/ast13-firmware-1.x

So, if you are already at "1.2.3-Asterisk-11.18.0" and want to go to
"1.2.3-Asterisk-13.4.0"
====
Prefs Tab...

System & Staff Tab Options:
...
Repository URL: http://mirror.astlinux.org/ast13-firmware-1.x

{ Save/Apply Preferences }

-- then --

System tab...

System Firmware Upgrade:
[ Revert to Previous ] - Firmware - x Confirm

[ Upgrade with New ] - Firmware - x Confirm

-- apply new image --
Reboot/Restart System:
[ Now ] - Reboot - x Confirm
====

Now, saying that, be sure you are prepared for an Asterisk 13 configuration...

Asterisk 12 -> 13
http://git.asterisk.org/gitweb/?p=asterisk/asterisk.git;a=blob;f=UPGRADE.txt;hb=refs/heads/13

Asterisk 11 -> 12
http://git.asterisk.org/gitweb/?p=asterisk/asterisk.git;a=blob;f=UPGRADE-12.txt;hb=refs/heads/13

Personally, if you have a working production Asterisk 11 system, I would stay
with Asterisk 11.  If you are building a new (test) system why not try Asterisk
13, or if you need a new feature of Asterisk 13 give it a try.

Asterisk 1.8 also still works great :-)
