Mehdi,
  I build Astlinux on Ubuntu, works fine.  Follow developer instructions at
the astlinux web site and you can build your own custom astlinux with
whatever modifications you want.  I ran into some issues when I moved from
Ubuntu 14.04 to 15.04... see astlinux-devel list archive for May 15th....
