So, lets say I have subscribed to a VPN service. That service provides
ovpn credentials and I can connect to it from my desktop lets say using
Tunnelblick. While connected all traffic is routed through the ovpn
tunnel, nothing goes direct to the internet.

Okay, but what if I would like all devices on my network to go through that
VPN by default so that I do not have to configure the ovpn client on each
device. I would like Astlinux to establish the VPN connection for me? I
think this is doable though I have not tested it yet.

But further, while the VPN server is going to push down route commands that
make all traffic go over the VPN by default, I would like to change that so
that only traffic destined for a specific address range is routed over the
VPN. Is this doable... ie, change the routing table after the connection
is established to undo what the server did for default and add my own
routes to the VPN tunnel.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

David
