Yes I have that for some. The particular scenario I handle is for
laptop/tablet/etc that can be both at home and remote. When outside the
home I have e.g. ftp.mydomain.org resolve to what is my external IP
address. Specific port forwarding sends e.g. port 21 into 192.168.x.7.
When this same device is inside my home and connected to the 192.168.x
network I want the name to resolve to the internal ftp server directly not
to my external IP address. I also want pbx.mydomain.org to resolve to
192.168.x.1 when at home, but to my external IP when remote.
Essentially I have setup the external DNS service I use to resolve *.
mydomain.com to my external IP, but internally * resolves to different
internal IPs depending on whether it is "ftp" "pbx" or "inkjet" or whatever.
