Hi Michael, I would remove PPPOE_EXTIF="ppp0". I've seen that in the last months on a few of my customer sites that several parallel ppp connections (with different gateways) were brought up (ppp0 to ppp5). PPPoE status showed nothing, but the connection was working fine.
