You would need to do a custom build.  Astlinux does not have a package
manager so you cannot simply add packages to a running system.  But python
exists in the Astlinux build system, it is just not included by default.
So you would need to setup a build system (Linux in a virtual machine) and
then make your own custom build that included python.  Follow developer
documentation at the astlinux-project web page.
