I have been asked to clarify the wording.

"Deprecation" [1] does not mean ending updates/security fixes, updates/security 
fixes will continue for some (unspecified) period of time.

Why? I'm pushing 70 years old. There are other reasons as well.

AstLinux's core is in the same era as Debian 11 'bullseye' which is also 
considered deprecated.  Similarly, new Debian 11 deployments are no longer 
recommended.

"EOL" [2] would imply no updates.  That is *not* currently the case at 
2026-03-01.
