Yes, they did in fact do that for some devices like the UniFi AC LITE. But at least one AirMAX device - namely the Ubiquiti NanoStation AC - has the PCI vendor id 0777 and the pci device id 11ac:
root@OpenWrt:~# lspci -nn 00:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Ubiquiti Networks, Inc. Device [0777:11ac] I'm not sure why exactly the did that but I got confirmation from another OpenWrt developer that Ubiquiti is doing the same on the Litebeam 5AC. 2018-01-25 10:34 GMT+01:00 Sebastian Gottschall <[email protected]>: > ubiquiti did not change the pci vendor and device id. just the subvendor and > subdevice id is individual and this is not unusual for most vendors > all ubiquiti cards have 0x0777 > and yes i know all these airmax devices and have them and running ath10k on > it without any issue > > Am 25.01.2018 um 06:25 schrieb Kalle Valo: >> >> Tobias Schramm <[email protected]> writes: >> >>> A lot of more modern Ubiquiti AirMAX wireless devices contain a rebranded >>> QCA988X with changed PCI vendor and device id. >>> This patch adds support for those chips by treating them as QCA988X rev2 >>> radios. >>> >>> Tobias Schramm (2): >>> pci: Add vendor id of Ubiquiti Networks >>> ath10k: Add support for Uiquiti rebranded QCA988X v2 >> >> Please resend (as v2) and include more lists/people: >> >> [email protected] >> [email protected] >> Bjorn Helgaas <[email protected]> >> [email protected] >> > > -- > Mit freundlichen Grüssen / Regards > > Sebastian Gottschall / CTO > > NewMedia-NET GmbH - DD-WRT > Firmensitz: Stubenwaldallee 21a, 64625 Bensheim > Registergericht: Amtsgericht Darmstadt, HRB 25473 > Geschäftsführer: Peter Steinhäuser, Christian Scheele > http://www.dd-wrt.com > email: [email protected] > Tel.: +496251-582650 / Fax: +496251-5826565 > > > _______________________________________________ > ath10k mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.infradead.org/mailman/listinfo/ath10k _______________________________________________ ath10k mailing list [email protected] http://lists.infradead.org/mailman/listinfo/ath10k
