Hello 

I tried both of your patches and I have no messages like
ath5k phy0: no further txbuf available, dropping packet

anymore.

The driver seems to run stable.
The only messages that I get now are

[445833.299330] ath5k phy0: noise floor calibration timeout (2427MHz)
[445917.395285] ath5k phy0: unsupported jumbo

But the noise floor calibration message does not appear often and 
the unsupported jumbo message is not so bad, as far as I know.
