Hi, I'm trying to operate an Atheros card in access point mode. I've using wireless-testing, and I've built hostapd from git, but it doesn't work:
$ sudo ./hostapd hostapd.conf Configuration file: hostapd.conf Failed to set interface ath0 to master mode. nl80211 driver initialization failed. rmdir[ctrl_interface]: No such file or directory ELOOP: remaining socket: sock=5 eloop_data=0x809cc70 user_data=(nil) handler=0x8079df0 hostapd is working (at least partially, but that's a different story, AFAICT) with my Broadcom card.
