Hello. I have the same problem plus my card loses AP randomly and then can't connect to it/get ip. When i try to reload (rmmod then modprobe) ath9k, pc just hangs and blinking with scroll lock/caps lock leds. Or i get errors about irq (see log attached). After it loses AP i get many "ForceXPAon: 0" in dmesg.
But i have found that if i turn off bluetooth, it works almost ok and can work longer before loses AP (it work more than 18 hours for now). I have one wireless switch on my laptop for wifi and bluetooth both, so i unload hci_usb to turn it off. I'm on Sony Vaio FW laptop with Atheros AR928x card, linux 2.6.24-21 kernel with 2.6-old tar compiled. I have tested it on 2.6.27-2 with latest wireless-testing but have the same symptoms. Thanks.
