Once it boils down to choosing between several vendors which offer devices that are supported by ath9k and if Compex is one of the options to choose from, Compex is certainly a good choice. In the past they have donated [1] various MiniPCI cards to the MadWifi project, and at least one of those have been sent to Nick to support ath5k development.
