Hi,

i recompiled the driver and i get
sudo cat /sys/kernel/debug/ath9k_htc/phy1/tgt_stats
   TX Short Retries :         33
    TX Long Retries :         12
        TX Xretries :          2
TX Unaggr. Xretries :          0
   TX Xretries (HT) :          0
            TX Rate :      48000

So i think the bug is in the firmeware, right? and the connection speed is
48Mbit/s

iwconfig says

wlan3     IEEE 802.11bgn  ESSID:"*************"
          Mode:Managed  Frequency:2.427 GHz  Access Point: *******************

          Bit Rate=1 Mb/s   Tx-Power=20 dBm
          Retry  long limit:7   RTS thr:off   Fragment thr:off
          Power Management:off
          Link Quality=33/70  Signal level=-77 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0  Rx invalid crypt:0  Rx invalid frag:0
          Tx excessive retries:0  Invalid misc:36   Missed beacon:0

so where i have to report the bug ?

Hi,
I think you are  using ath9k_htc driver  and this is not a
functionality issue. The rate control in ath9k_htc is done in firmware , so we
are not updating the tx rate to user space .We are looking into this issue. To
make sure that the tx rate is high you can look into the ath9k_htc debugging
feature tgt_stats.

For this enable
CONFIG ATH_DEBUG=y
CONFIG_ATH9K_HTC_DEBUGFS=y in config.mk in your compat wireless.
After the connection is established
please do
sudo cat  cd /sys/kernel/debug/ath9k_htc/tgt_stats

You can see the value of txrate.
thanks,
shafi

Hello,

i'm not sure if i´m right here. I think i found a bug in the compate-wireless
driver.

I'm using a USB wireless reciver Model TP-Link TL-Wn 422G v2 on my Asus eee 701
with easypeasy 1.5 and linux kernel 2.6.32-25-generic.

I compiled the compat-wireless-2010-10-08 driver and installed it. It works
fine, but if i use iwconfig the Bit Rate is every time 1Mb/s.

What can i do to increase the connection speed? with other usb recievers i get
the full wifi speed.
