Hi all: Is there a walking GPS app for the ipod?

Subject: Re: [ATI] IPad, anyone using one Deana, I have an IPod and have had a chance to use the IPad a time or two. The three, IPod touch, IPhone, and IPad all run on the same OS. True, there are aps for the pad that might not work with the IPod or IPhone, but other than that they are the same concept. The IPad has different features, such as 3G capibilities, and the abbility to pair with web cams and things like that. In my opinion however, I would recommend waiting for the purchase until the the newer IPads are released, I think maybe in June. In Phoenix, at the center for blind children, we got a chance to play around with the iPad. I'm not sure what the ap was called, or even how much it cost, but they had one for brailling. You placed your fingers on the IPad the way you would on a braille writer, and the ap would locate your fingers and allow you to braille. Best of luck in deciding. I am curious if anyone has tried using one who is blind. The speech is clear, and I am told the commands are nearly the same as the IPhone. Any information would be appreciated. I need to consider replacing my PacMate and don't want to spend the money without being sure I know the functionality of any device I shell out the doe for.
