Ok. I found how to change the keyboard layout, and, were I an acrobat,
this could work. However, I still welcome the advice on changing the numpad
mouse keys to something a little easier that doesn't involve key conflicts with
Windows. Thanks.

I think it's only Dell XPSL502
I don't think the X is part of the model number.

Hi Denny and all. The laptop is a Dell XPSL502x. I hope that is right,
because utt'r really hard to read that without the numpad mouse. (smile) I
also am hoping someone can help me with maybe redefining the keys until I figur
this out or not. First of all, isn't there a way to set window-eyes to a
laptop numpad setting? If I could do that, maybe it would recognize the FN
key. Maybe not, but it's worth a try. Also, I'm sure I'm not the only one who
has redefined my mouse key hotkeys, so is there someone who has a better way of
doing this to avoid key conflicts?
Thanks.
Linda C.

I have never had a physical numpad either, but the mouse cursor keys don't work
with this thing at all. We aren't even finding an existing key list in the
manual anywhere. I am surprised to find no useable numpad at all. I may just
have to find a redefine the keys and get around already exixting keys.
Window-Eyes doesn't recognize the FN key as a key, so that idea is out.

Linda,

I have never had a numbpad on any of my lap tops and I don't
miss it at all.

Most lap tops without a numbpad has alternate commands you can use depending on
which brand and model you get.

Not sure what commands you are wanting to perform.
