Did you already authorize Jaws on the machine you are having trouble with? If so, then it won’t count as an installation.
Besides, you can always request more authorizations at www.fsactivate.com. ______________________________________________________________________ Denny Huff - President Missouri Council of the Blind P: (636) 262-1383 TF: (888) 362-1383 F: (314) 558-0298 [email protected] www.moblind.org ENCOURAGEMENT FOR THE JOURNEY Your host: Denny Huff Listen live, SUNDAY MORNINGS AT 8:00 AM CST WWW.KLPW.COM From: Steve Crews [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, December 07, 2011 2:14 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [ATI] JAWS 13 and Research function Denny, It is my understanding that I only get three installations withJAWS. Subject: RE: [ATI] JAWS 13 and Research function I was not on line when installing JAWS 13, I installed from a disk. When I press insert plus space bar and o, JAWS says “o”. I wonder if this could have something to do with the installation process. The installation disk that I received, would not work with XP Pro, I had to get another authorization number to get it to work. But, with the new authorization number, the installation seem to go smoothly. Also the sports score lookup from ESPN is broken in the current build, but this should be addressed in the next update that’s coming out this month hopefully. From: Steve Crews <mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, December 07, 2011 12:17 PM To: 'Adaptive technology information and support.' <mailto:[email protected]> Subject: [ATI] JAWS 13 and Research function Hello, I just loaded JAWS 13 and updates. I am using XP pro. When I try to use the Research function, JAWS gives me some instructions on “restrictions”. And researchs doesn’t open. To attempt to open the research window I: Press the JAWS key, “the zero key on the num pad with num pad turned off” Plus the spacebar plus the letter r. And instead of getting the research window, I get a message about setting “restrictions”. This is the exact process I used in an earlier version of JAWS to open the research window. According to the help menu, this is the correct key combination. What am I doing wrong, or what can I do to correct this problem? Any help would be appreciated.
