You could just get a $5.00 headphone splitter at Target and hook up a set with 
your speakers in back.  That’s he easiest way.  That way you can leave them 
attached all the time and just turn the speakers down when you don’t want them. 
 Or you can get a set that runs off the USB port and has a microphone for 
chatting.

So why would my computer suddenly and without warning stopp working with 
headphones? I have tried different ones so it is not the headphones. I presume 
it is the headphone jack but I don't want to take the computer in just for 
that. Is it an easy repair? Probably not. John
