I don't know, but I got so frustrated with that free 411 thing, I gave
up and quit using it. Springfield was always Greenfield, or Greenville,
or Springville, or a myriad of other things I never said. lol

All that being said, if we have a resolution to ask Microsoft to
reconsider, I would certainly support it, but the chance of them
actually reinstating the service I would judge at somewhere very near
zero.
Last year we lost Goog411. These services come and go. There are at
least 2 services left to fill this gap until they get discontinued as
well. One is 800free411. 800-373-3411. I can’t remember the other
right now.

Hi Ray and all,
Once again, we see the creation of a digital divide where those of us
with PC and internet access will not be significantly impacted while
those without either will be left behind. I have used TellMe via the
phone for years to get sports scores and weather reports for cities to
which I'm traveling.
I wonder if anyone on this list can lay their hands on stats that
estimate just how many Americans lack a computer or internet access. I
believe that we as ACB owe it to our members who lack internet access
to act on this one with both a letter from Mitch informing Microsoft
that this move away from phone access will leav some Americans out and
a resolution at the 2012 convention. IF we do not act on this one,
then we're certainly not scoring any points with newly blinded elders
who might like to join with us.
