This came from another list I am on.
Linda C.
Hello everyone,
I am posting this message to the list with our moderators approval which
I sincerely
thank him for. I hope that you will all join in on the excitement with me.
I am very fortunate to be a part of a new business launch in the
assistive technology
field. The name of this new company is Fedora Outlier LLC, and it is
located in
Atlanta, GA At this point you may be wondering what Fedora Outlier is?
A very good
question and if you all would give me a few moments of your time, I will
try and
answer it.
Fedora Outlier is the brainchild of our President VaShaun Jones who is
blind himself.
VaShaun has been working with Apple for a number of years on all of
their accessibility
features of all of their hardware. This includes the complete line of
Mac computers
as well as all of their IOS devices. So as you can imagine he is very
much in the
loop about everything with Apple accessibility.
Being a blind person that uses Voice Over on a daily basis for both work
and pleasure
VaShaun decided to develop his own business from the ground up
teaching and consulting
on everything Apple. This business venture became Fedora Outlier which
officially
opened for business on June 1, 2012. As you can plainly see by that
date we have
only been in business for one month now. To say that business is slow
would be an
understatement, but VaShaun believes in doing it slow and making sure
that all of
the infrastructure is in place for success, and I wholeheartedly believe
in this.
You may be wondering why I am bothering to tell you all this. I am
telling you this
because those of us here at Fedora Outlier cannot be successful at what
we are doing
without you in the blindness community. We need your help to spread the
word about
us so that the blindness community knows that we exist. It is to this
end that I
am including a small advertisement that VaShaun made announcing our
services and
programs that we will be offering. In this ad is all of the important
contact information
if any of you have any questions.
I would also like to ask the list if they would please go to our website
and look
around so that they can get a better understanding of what it is that we
offer to
the blindness community when it comes to Apple accessibility. If you
would, could
you all take a few minutes and subscribe to our monthly newsletter
Delivering Access,
and go to our Facebook page and click on the like button, and finally go
to our Twitter
page and follow us. This will be of great help to us in reaching our
goal of 1000
newsletter subscribers, Facebook likes, and Twitter followers by the end
of the year.
You can do all of this from:

Thank you for reading this message and if you have any questions just
