For those who asked the very logical question of when all these changes to the
NLS BARD web site would happen, such as the wish list, integration of web
braille, ability to view your previous downloads, and so on are supposed to
take place, I wrote directly to the Missouri director Richard Smith, and he
forwarded to me the following answer from BARD support. This is the only
information available.

We are very close to launching new BARD. The current schedule is to have a
"practice BARD including Web Braille" available by the end of summer for
network library staff to become familiar with it so they can assist patrons
with the change. New BARD should open to patrons shortly after that. Right
now we are down to last round fixes and small interface modifications. We are
expecting patron launch in the fall.

this is great. The only question on everyone’s lips is what is the date that
all this will be rolled out on BARD? When will we start seeing the changes?
