That is a great idea, Darla. thank you for reminding me that list serve is
available. they would be a great source of wisdom as I get my foot in the
door and deal with all the initial difficulties. The main thing I am worried
about is filling out forms and the like. I know there is a solution and with
team work and perserverance the answer is obtainable.

Dear Alicia,

I don't think your blindness will impact your ability to do the work, at
all, but you have a wide range of people to call on, and you might want to
join the Human Services Providers listserv on the acb.org web site; there
are a lot of really helpful and experienced people there who are more than
giving of their wisdom and experience should you need them.

Thank you Carol. I am a little nervous about my practicum, but I am sure all
my cohorts are also nervous. I justg want to do well and learn from the
experience.

Hi Alicia:

Talking about your social work practicum brings back memories. I got my BSW
from UMC in 1982 and I did my social work internship on the admissions ward
at Fulton State Hospital. I wish you the very best with your experience and
completing your degree program.

Carol
