Hi, welcome aboard! Now what kind of phone to get is really a preface ! But
looking at a smart phone with lots of apps and such I would say either the
iphone5 or Android. Both in some ways are very similar and very different in
other ways. I would say the I devices still have an edge when coming to
accessibility but any of the Android phones running ICS or jelly bean would be
very accessible. Both has a learning curve and if never used a touch screen
device it is even bigger. But can be learned. I have currently have the old
iphone3gs running latest IOS on it called IOS6 but don’t have cell service on
it as I myself don’t like the iPhone as a phone. So I use it like a PDA . I
also use my wife I pad from time to time as well . She don’t use VO as she is a
seeing person. I currently still use the Haven as my phone. But might go ahead
and get the iphone5 or either the new IPod touch. Or if they come out with one
possible consider the ipad mini. I will point you to a couple of good sites
for iPhone and Android so see them below. HTH

Hi Group:

We are new members to the group. Our names are Duane & Lisa Hawk. We are also
considering what kind of phone we want to upgrade to. All of your feedback and
discussion is very much appreciated right now. We are leaning towards the
iPhone, simply because of the voice-over. We just wanted to say hi and thanks
for all the opinions.
