Hi all. The link at the end of this email is an audio clip of a demo someone did on an app created for the blind called taptapsee. I downloaded the app, and played around with it. For those of you who have used Omoby, it is somewhat similar, yet a bit more intuitive. The only thing I didn't like about the app was that so far, I haven't figured out how to read the results again after it announces them. It is an app that you can use to take a picture of an object and it will will tell you what it is. I took a picture of my Grands biscuits, Italian seafood sauce, double bubble gum ball machine, and my Sonic drink cup, which is exactly what it read back to me. It told me Terra was girls' one-piece pink pajamas with dogs. I gues I missed her face. (grin) It was right on the money about the pj's though. The only thing it missed was when it told me my plate of biscuits and gravy was chips and rice. Oh yes and there were hash browns on there too, so I can see why it might have mistaken. If nothing else, this app is fun to play with. Enjoy.
